Badameshk tree


This tree is native to Iran and it’s western neighbors.

Almond often grows as a shrub and grows up to a height of 2-3 meters. This shrub has thick evergreen stems. The stems are without distortion and in the form of needles and grow 1-2 mm in diameter during a year according to the weather conditions. The leaves of the tree grow in spring and are small, with jagged or curved edges and sharp tips. The almond tree is usually leafless in summer.

Badamshek (almond) flowers grow in the spring and before the leaves grow and cover the branches. So that the shrub is seen as a mass of white or pale pink and creates a beautiful view. These flowers are fragrant and can be said to be among the most characteristic medicinal flowers in the country. Honey bees are very fond of almond flowers and the resulting honey has amazing medicinal properties.
The time to harvest honey from almond trees for 2 weeks is in the middle of April.

This tree has penetrating and strong roots, which, in addition to increasing its resistance to drought, is also effective for soil stabilization and flood control. The root of this plant also has medicinal properties.
